Our approach
This is a unique service, for which we offer 3 different options depending on your budget and how much help you need:
- Option 1: We will check that the ICB’s methodology is reasonable and that their calculation is correct, based on the documentation provided by the ICB.
- Option 2: We will scrutinise the ICB’s figures against your own documentation to ensure there are no missed payments. We will check their methodology and the interest rates applied. We will advise you of any errors identified.
- Option 3: We will calculate the principal sum before interest and present your claim to the ICB with supporting evidence. Upon receipt, we will check the ICB’s offer and interest calculation and advise you accordingly. We will negotiate, as necessary, with the ICB and chase until payment is received.
Families often tell us they have no idea if the ICB’s offer of reimbursement is correct or if they are being short-changed, particularly when it comes to calculating interest. As there is no set formula for calculating restitution and interest, each ICB has its own method.
