Appeal Advice Service

Honest, impartial advice

If you have been assessed and turned down for NHS Continuing Healthcare, our Appeal Advice Service will help you decide whether to challenge the decision.

Whether you have been unsuccessful at MDT or Local Resolution stage, our experienced Case Managers will review the Decision Support Tool and give you their expert view.

If we do recommend appealing the decision, we will offer additional services and support. If we don’t think an appeal is likely to succeed, we will tell you: we are always completely honest with our clients about prospects of success. We only pursue valid claims.

Our approach…

The main steps involved in our Appeal Advice Service:

  • You send us the Decision Support Tool (and Local Resolution Report if applicable), along with any other evidence you want us to consider.
  • One of our experienced Case Managers reviews the information provided and prepares a summary report, offering their view as to the prospects of successfully appealing the decision.
  • We send you the report and arrange a meeting to answer any questions you might have, if desired.

Solicitor meeting

"I am over the moon with the way in which Farley Dwek Solicitors have handled my late father’s claim. We were kept informed throughout the whole process and had frequent contact with our solicitor, Jonathan Dwek. His experience and empathy instilled great confidence and I am delighted with the outcome."

Craig Phillips

"From the moment I picked up the phone to Farley Dwek the stress levels we suffered dropped significantly as we had everything explained to us."

Gilmour Shelley

"We would thoroughly recommend Farley Dwek as an organisation and Debbie Payton in particular. We feel that all that she has achieved on behalf of my father is worth every penny and we believe we could not have got this outcome without her. We cannot thank Debbie enough."

Rachel W

"I feel like the presence of Farley Dwek in the process was the key factor in our family securing the funding and saving £1,400 per week in care home fees for the BUPA hospital that we had chosen. To say we are pleased with Farley Dwek is an understatement. We’ve been absolutely delighted with everything the team has done and would recommend any family in the same circumstances speak directly to them to give them the best chance of getting the funding."

Mr Barrow

"You don’t need any more worry about how to come up with the money at a time when you are trying to cope with the emotion and distress of trying to get the best care possible for loved ones. This needs sorting out and I’m glad Farley Dwek is on my side and helping through the process."
