If your relative was assessed and turned down for NHS Continuing Healthcare, we offer our Appeal Advice Service to consider the merits of appealing the decision.
The Appeals Advice Service is offered on a fixed price basis and will be conducted by one of our associate specialist nurses.
The nurse will obtain and review care home and GP records for 3 months and 12 months respectively, prior to the date of the MDT. Our nurse will also speak to you as part of the Service.
Once all the evidence has been gathered, our nurse will prepare a written report, known as a Detailed Medical Assessment (DMA). We shall then advise you as to the merits of an appeal based on the contents of the nurse’s DMA report.
